Super crisp and incredibly clear golden and almost pale straw coloured body with a faint white head, only a sliver or so tall. Aroma of crisp funk, dry malts, a dash of earthiness and a lot of peppery, dry and skunky scents on the tail end. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong assertive effervescence with a dash of grain and dry yeast at first that show the 'brut'/Sparkling Wine notes more than others, even for the style. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong dry and grassy malt profile at first with a very bitter bite of the grain and astringent malts with some herbal and grassy flavours which work quite well, but lead with no sugars, sweetness or complexity. Aftertaste shows the punch from the grain and the dry malt with a little residual funk which is nice and complex, especially for the style. Overall, a crisp and assertively effervescent beer with some lighter hop elements and a relatively low alpha acid punch at the finale. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 10-May-2019 for US$1,87 sampled at home in Washington on 12-May-2019, just two days later.

Kroger (29N) bottle. Looks like this is going to be a standard bottle offering. Pours crystal clear, very pale gold, tiny white head. Aroma is lemon zest, grape must. Flavor is wet paper, cardboard, lemon zest. Very little flavor; similar to tonic water and a lemon. Fuck this trend.

Can: Lilly and daffodil nose. Crystal clear yellow, medium head, no retention. Lilly, white grape, daffodil. Light body, easy carbonation. I was worried that this would be some kind of bone dry hop tea, but it's quite enjoyable. Just slightly dry, and hop forward,
