This is a perfect Winter warmer with lightly spiced aromas of cinnamon, coriander and ginger. The palate is full, with a pleasant spicing coming through. Very smooth and drinkable.

Bottle of Santa’s reserve from Utobeer. Reddish brown in colour with moderate carbonation. Cinnamon and ginger dominated with a sweet edge. One dimensional and over-spiced to the point of being a sink pour.

50cl bottle of Santa’s Reserve. from Westholme Stores, Goring. Poured a murky reddish brown with a thin cream head; Christmasy aroma; lots of peppery ginger flavours at first, then supplemented by the cinnamon, but lasking any support from the malts - in fact it’s quite a thin beer; the finish is dry, warming, and retains the spices, again the ginger is to the fore, and rather overpowering. Not the best Christmas Ale I’ve tried.

Bottle 50cl.Unclear medium to dark brown color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate to heavy spicy, coriander, cinnamon, juniper berry. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy spicy (cinnamon, coriander, ginger) bitter with a average to long duration. Way to spicy IMO. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090103]

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 09. Too much cinnamon and spice on aroma. Too perfumed, pretty poor.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with some red tinges. Very spicy aroma with ginger and dried fruits. Spicy and fruity taste with ginger, raisins and some hoppy hints with some roasted notes.
