A classic dry stout, smooth rich chocolate and coffee balanced out with a dry moreish finish. Malt takes the centre stage with roasted barley and Brown malt giving a black colour and rich flavour. Heritage British hops are used for bitterness and a slight herbal note.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy brownish black pour with a fast fading beige head; aroma of charred grains; dry and thin in the mouth with a milky feeling and some burnt toast; then a dry finish with some bitter chocolate. Rather flat in appearance and taste.

330ml can. Pours a dark brown/near black with beige to tanned head, modest retention. Aroma of tobacco, dark malt, caramel, dark chocolate. Taste of dark chocolate, malt and cola come through with a smoky tobacco flavour more in the background with a herbal note. Its just about on the dry end for a stout but still has a bittersweet balance to it. Medium bodied, fine to moderate carbonation. Decent.
