Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear golden. Heavily fruity nose with plenty of dusty butter. Sweet and medium bodied with plenty of chewy fruity malt. The dusty butter gets more toned down after the nose, but lingers on well into the finish.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 16 Dec 2008. Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, floral nose with citrus, apricots and bready malt. Fruity, floral taste with notes of citrus, biscuity malt and fresh citrussy hops in the finish. Fairly thin body. Not very wintery, but refreshing and nice.

Cask at The Penny Black, JDW, Bicester 29-12-07 Light amber in colour with a fruity nose. Taste was also citrusy and fruity, with a nice bite but sadly this beer suffered from being served just a bit to warm (it’s normally quite the opposite in JDW’s I find) It was also a little bit past it’s best.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 9/12/07. This was a standard bitter rather than a Christmas beer. Pale amber colour with a decent white head that left plenty of lacing. A slightly sweet malt aroma with some grassy hops. The flavour also inclined towards sweetness with a decent dry finish. Good.
