Changed name from Juleøl Premium to Juleøl Vellagret in November 2014. The beer formerly known as Juleøl, 6.5%, is now known as Juleøl Premium.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet at home. Pours dark ruby red, clear, with a moderate head. Aroma of raisins, caramel, some fruitiness. A little bit sweet, but not too much. Some bitter finish. Medium bodied; a good beer I’d like to drink again.

Bottle at home. Vintage 2011. Has a deep reddish brown colour with a beige medium and a bit creamy head. Aromas of dried fruit, wood, leather and some chocolate. More dried fruit in a sweet flavour along with much of the same and some smoke in the end. Has a slick and rich mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. The beer has a nice balance and richness, a Christmas classic.
