Orange/Gold/Light brown colour, depends a bit on the light. Smells like toffee, pilsener, lager, malty. Tastes like a decent lager, little hint of toffee in the taste, tasted hay also. Good mouthfeel.

Very clear orange golden color, no head. Smell weird and not nice, like some kind of tea but I don’t know which. Taste also has something of a brut champagne that doesn’t belong in a beer. Low carbo and body.

Bottle. It’s looking quite nice in the glass, with it’s clear, golden body, but the dense, off-white should be bigger. It’s just a thin layer of bubbles now. The aroma is fruity-sweet and licorice-ish hoppy, sort of reminiscent of fennel, and there’s also some pale malts. The flavor flavor walks down the same street, with the added joy of metal in the finish. Well, not much joy in a metallic flavor, but at least it’s there. The bitterness levels are at near undetectable levels. Medium to thin body. Drinks easy, doesn’t taste much interesting. 110421

From a 375ml bottle on 23/10/2010. Has a very faint bready aroma. Quite sweet (a dash of banana maybe) with some mild hops evident. Like most Australian pales this is extremely bland, though it’s a little smoother and less chemical tasting than some its main competitors from CUB.

Bottle. Poured pale yellow with thin but lasting head. Moderate lacing. Thin aroma, a little malt breadiness, a very little citrus. Thin flavour, light body, some adjunct. Almost no finish. Not outstanding by any means
