Super hazy golden and rich straw coloured body with a very rich and dense tan and creamy off-white head that leaves a nasty lace on the sides. Aroma of light citrus fruit, some soft alpha acid bitterness from the hops and a more noticeable wheat and oat malt presence, but all very mild in the nose. Medium-bodied; Very crisp and grassy notes dominate here with a dry, herbal bite soon afterwards and a soft stone fruit and citrus fruit finish that hits nicely at the very end. Aftertaste is balanced with some crisp and drying malts, but the bitterness and relatively subdued hop flavours still do come out, with a small dose of sweetness from stone fruits and aspartame at the tail-end. Overall, a nice, dry but balanced IPA that looks new school, but has an older-school, tried and true taste that is nice, especially for a lower ABV IPA. Nice to try super fresh and good locally! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon Row), Virginia on 28-June-2022 for US$1,87 (part of a mixed six pack), canned on 03-June-202 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 08-July-2022.
