33cl Bottle shared at Not THT Tasting. Black with almost no head. Dark roasted chocolate malts, licorice, molasses, whiskey barrel notes. Sweet, mild biter. Over medium body, low carbonation. Quite alcoholic but still nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Zwarte Snorre Barrel Aged Bruichladdich Whisky on 18 Dec 2017 at 12:37 - Score: 7. Original review text: 3.8

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Black with short lasting beige head that leaves almost no trace. Lots of licorice, roasted malts, vanilla, strong scotch, "Engelse drop". Medium sweet and over medium bitter. Almost full bodied with very slick feel. Loads of licorice and scotch, very rough but quite interesting.

Süßer, weich malziger Antrunk, Noten von Alkohol und dezenter karamelligen Röstigkeit. Süffig, der Alkohol bleibt erkennbar, ist aber doch angemessen und nie störend. Gut. 11/12/12/10/9/11

Bottle (from Bierkoning) shared @ Beer Temple with Zlotta & Markoijelena. Black color. Beige head, very little. Aroma’s: whisky, red fruit, with retronasal some sweetness, whisky, drop/licorice, and wood. Flavor is moderate sweet to sweet. Quite strong alcohol feel, but body is a bit thin. Long finish with no new flavors.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle at ’Beertemple’, best before March 2017, courtesy of PotjeBier, thanks Arjen, was really looking forward to this one as well! Pitch black with a light brown, soapy layer. Sweetish, slightly roasty, moderately peated and a little medicinal aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, tar and some iodine. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty, medium peaty and a bit medicinal taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, tar and some iodine, followed by a long, moderately roasty-bitter, quite warming-alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy to oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really good again, hard to say which of the two versions I prefered, maybe this one is a bit more balanced, but the mouthfeel of the Imperial Whisky version was a tad better.
