Bottle at home. Aroma is wood, whiskey, coffee, chocolate, strong liquorice, nuts, raisins, some tobacco. Flavour is medium sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is above medium. A well-balanced Bruichladdich BA, flavours are quite harmonious.

Black, opaque color and a tiny tan head. Thick. Sweet nose of molasse, dried fruits, roasted malts. Taste is less sweet than expected. A little boozy. Malty, vanilla, sweet, wooden, whisky influence.

Bottle. Almost black, traces of a head. Soft peat and salted licorice in the aroma. Full bodied, very soft Carbonation. Malty sweet flavor with hints of caramel and Moderate peat and roast. Velvety, very well balanced. No raw Peaty violence but refined and quite Drinkable.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown colour, creamy beige foam disappears quickly. Some metallic notes when opening the bottle, gets better when the beer warms a bit up. Roasted malts, light smoke, caramel. Light sweet, some bitter hoppy notes. Rather thin. Not a lot of barrel character.

Bottle 0.33l at home, Nivala. Received from Ratebeer swap (I think it was from MonsterMagnet). BBE 3/2017 ("old" but I don’t see that as a problem). Colour is deep and clear dark brown with very small brown head. Aromas and flavours: Dark chocolate, coffee, deep dryness, some alcohol, whiskey, wood, peat and roasted malts. Mouthfeel is pretty heavy, little bit of attacking. Condition is IMO very good. Whiskey barrel aged beers are not my favorites but this one has some good dry deep elements.

Bottle from a trade with MonsterMagnet, many thanks! Black color with beige head that goes down quickly. Aroma is smoked, chalk, cherry, chocolate, coffee. Taste is ash, roasted malts, some wood, liquorice. Warming finish. Surprisingly fizzy carbonation. Not excellent.
