Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double malt beer produced using 100% high quality barley malt. This gives it a full, caramelised malt flavour and an intense aroma of roasted malt. Its distinctive amber colour originates from the type of malt used when brewing, a special malt which is dried and roasted.

Nutty brown colour with a fine off white head. Ok lacing. A bit sweet aroma. Fruity and caramel malt. Full body. A bit sweet but not to heavy sweetness. Rich fruity flavour with some alcohol. Also a lot of caramel malt. Oily texture.

Nareszcie dobrze mi się piło piwo z wielkiego zakładu. La Rossa to pięknie wyglądające piwo mocno czerwone, z wielką kremową pianą, która się dłógo utrzymuje. W smaku karmelowe i słodowe. Tym wrażeniom towarzyszy rozgrzewający finisz lecz zupełnie nie wuczuwa się mocy alkocholowej co jest sporym plusem.

Bottle. Browny black beer with a strong off white head. The aroma is lightly malty and yeasty, and the flavour sweet and malty with a good degree of roasted'ness. Overall a nice well roasted malty beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle [Thanx Meike]. Clear red glowing dark amber colour with average, frothy, minimally lacing, greyish white head. Caramel malty aroma has fruity notes of red berries. Taste is minimally sweet-and-sour fruity, notes of red and dark berries, wild berries, finish has an earthy, mossy and woody touch.

330ml bottle - in a restaurant and only given a choice between this or Birra Moretti pilsner, it wasn’t hard. This has loads of vanilla, fruits, caramel, all sorts in the nose, the taste is just as good. A perfect syrupy palate makes this for me. Quality!

12oz bottle from Wegman’s, King of Prussia, PA. A reddish copper pour with a voluminous, loose, cream head; attractive, light aroma of deeply roasted malts; buttery in the mouth and packed with sweet malts, and lot’s of warming alcohol; with a rather cloying finish that has a trace of licorice. Not at all what I was expecting from Birra Moretti

330 mL bottle. Pours light brown with a medium, beige head. The aroma is molasses, black tea, light caramel, and pine. The flavor is syrupy sweetness and very light bitterness. The palate is medium, sticky, and a little grainy. Not bad.

33cl bottle, 7.2%. Clear dark amber to red color, big bubbly brownish head quickly reducing. Nose of roasted malts.Aroma of nutty toasted malts, caramel, maybe some yeast and spicy hops. Taste is initally sweetish with a moderate bitterness. Finish is a bit sticky, non excessivly bitter, alcoholic. Palate: Oily texture, soft carbonation. Maybe somewhat earthy but smooth and decent enough, not bad indeed from an industrial brand.
