I stumbled upon this at the Glengorm Estate where it was sold at the coffee shop. It is sold elsewhere on the island too (and on the CALMAC ferry) but not as widely as the Isle of Mull ales which it was confused with previously and appears to still be confused with on Untappd. I was later told that this was actually brewed by the stillman at the Tobermory distillery. Hopefully there will be more presence for the brewer soon. Appearance - despite being named as a gold this is amber and there is a nicely proportioned head. Nose - again, the hallmarks of an amber ale come through - gentle toffee and a light biscuit note. Taste - more of the same as found on the nose. Palate - light to medium bodied with a slightly creamy yet slightly crunchy texture and a balanced dry finish. Overall - a very drinkable ale if nothing special.
