On cask @ the Stockbridge Tap. Pours golden with a nice cask haze and a nicely proportioned head. The nose is grapefruit and grapefruit pith with the familiar cask yeasty-earthy notes coming through too. The taste is very much the same. The palate is close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long clean finish. Overall, I think this ale really suits being on cask whilst others don’t necessarily, being sometimes better in bottle. The better texture that cask conditioning produces, gives balance to the sharp citrus notes which may be too drying in filtered form - in this form I could definitely do several.
