KOFF III is an internationally rewarded aromatic lager beer. It is lightly hopped, with medium strong pitching wort and a soft taste. It has a clear golden yellow colour, dense crown and clean finish. Fresh, cool and pleasant, yet aromatic and full-bodied, it is at its best in good company and sociable surroundings.

440 ml bottle from local store. Pours pale yellow with small head the disappears rather fast. Grassy aroma. High carbonation. Grainy, grassy flavour. Just an average bulk lager. I remember drinking this in bars in Helsinki a lot due to lack of choice.

Can, 4.5%. Refreshing aroma, grassy. Clear golden colour. Small stable white head. Bready flavour. Slightly grainy, but not too bad. OK bitterness, clean enough.

Can. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops, with touches of malt. Bitter flavour of hops, with notes of metal and inferior malt. Pronounced estery touches. Metallic and slightly bitter aftertaste. Watery. Well, a Pale Lager, that’s what it is.

Can 0.33l from local market. Originally rated 2011. Colour is clear yellow with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain and malts.

33cl can. Clear, pale golden colour with a frothy, white head. Aroma contains malt, starch and minimal notes of grass. Moderately sweet and with light bitterness. Light-bodied. Cheap lager.

Old rating rerated 16.08.2013, 0,3l bottle @ Planmeca Helsinki:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, light malts, grain, caramel, grass. Taste is slightly dry, light malts, hay, weeds, grain, caramel. Medium bitterness. Fair enough, boring.

Aroma is slightly sweet with corn, honey and some grainy malt. Flavour has grainy malt, some corn and hints of honey. Finishes with distant herbal notes and some grass.
This used to be my favourite Finnish bulk lager, but I am not sure about that anymore. At least this is not the worst.

One example of the finnish "bulkkiolut" genre. After sauna or while drinking for thirsty, but otherwise do not choose this one.

Can. Golden color with a small head. Mild sweetness, low hops. Bulk lager with not much going for it.
