Bottle thanks to Ken. It pours murky mahogany brown with small beige head. The aroma is earthy, sweet, sticky, nougat, clove rock, brown bread, fruit cake and light spice. The taste is dry, bitter, chewy, warming spice, spiced, orange marmalade, candy cane, clove rock, kick of alcohol and chewy with some warmth through the finish. Medium - full body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Rather decent gear.

Bottle shared in Hackney - cheers to Kenneth. Pours unclear amber with a tight, creamy off-white head. Rich holiday spices, some apples, cinnamon, bread, dried berries. Light to medium sweet flavour with some fruitcake, mild earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with toasted brown bread, dried fruits, more winter spices. Novelty gear.

Bodney towers bottleshare. Hazy amber beer, tidy yellowish tan head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet malts, little cream and caramel. Mild spice. Trace of cinnamon and brown sugar. Ripe fruits. Light dry mildly spicy finish. Straight up Belgo sweetish affair.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a reddish amber with a slight haze and a dense and lasting head leaving quite some lacework. Soft, malty nose, a little dried fruit and yeast - Dubbelish. Rich body, sweetish, brown sugars, and again yeast and dried fruits. Nice balancing hops to avoid become cloying. A solid if unspectacular effort. 261217
