(On tap at the GLB tap takeover at The Wren, July 31 2014) Pours a lightly hazy medium yellow with a modest white head. Lightly sour aroma, bit lactic, vegetal rhubarb. On the palate, too cold and deadening even for style at first. When warmer, nice moderately sour, tangy rhubarb, lemon, faint yogurt, some lightly sweet and quite grainy wheat that becomes more apparent in the finish, lingering sourness and rhubarb. Fairly active carb and light to moderate mouthfeel, fits refreshing style. Nice berliner but the rhubarb, not overpowering but very complimentary, is what makes the beer. Would quaff on sunny afternoon.
