31st July 2018, 0.3 litre tall glass at the brewery, sat in the afternoon sun on their patio. Pours a clear, deep amber, the head a lasting off-white crown. Malty from the start to finish, my sweet tooth really enjoying the caramel like aroma and flavour.

On tap at the brewpub. Malty-dark beginning. Intense roasted, nice hopped, fresh. Malty smooth. Caramel, nice smooth malt. Dark, sweetish but not sticky. The bitterness helps to create a good balance. Intense malty on the tongue with a great bitter-sweet balance. Nice.

Test vom 14.8.2008, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 11,13,12,12,-,12 - 12,05

Draft. A nut brown beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of alcohol and metal. The flavor is sweet malty again with primary notes of caramel, and lighter notes of alcohol and metal, leading to a dry bitter end with a light metal note lingering around.
