An intensely citrusy, beautifully bitter beer worthy of the simple-yet-lordly title of Stone Delicious IPA. Lemondrop and El Dorado hops combine to bring on a magnificent lemon candy-like flavor that's balanced by hop spice. Delicious is crafted to reduce gluten.

Editor’s Note: Originally tap only and listed at 8.3% abv and 116 IBUs.

While our beers are many and diverse, yet unified by overarching boldness, India pale ales are our undeniable bread and butter. We’ve brewed many over the past 18 years, from double-down bitter bombs to piney session sippers. Whether it’s big IBUs or a precise ABV, there’s usually a target we’re shooting for. The same is true of this, our latest IPA, but we gave zero thought to any acronyms. This one was all about packing as much unique and, you guessed it, delicious flavor into a glass as humanly possible, regardless of oomph or octane. This intensely citrusy, beautifully bitter beer is worthy of the simple-yet-lordly title of Stone Delicious IPA. Lemondrop and El Dorado hops combine to bring on a magnificent lemon candy-like flavor that’s balanced by hop spice. It’s unlike anything we’ve tasted in nearly two decades of IPA experimentation, and another lupulin-laced creation we’re excited to introduce to hopheads everywhere.

Bottle description: Great beer is for everyone and anyone with the good taste to recognize it, not just a niche group like us über beer geeks. So, when we developed this pleasantly bitter, deliciously citrusy, hop-driven IPA, we took it as an opportunity to go a step further and do something we’d spent over a year researching and perfecting: creating a beer that makes it possible for nearly everyone to experience our aggressive, no-holds-barred approach to craft brewing. It’s a flavorful, cutting-edge, modern-day IPA for everyone. Lemondrop and El Dorado hops provide plenty of fruity citrus character and a burst of hop zing that sings on the palate. We’re proud to present it to those who already know us for our IPA prowess and to those who, so far, have only heard the legends.

Bottle at home, amber beer, smallhead. Aroma is malt, pine, citrus, hops, light medicinal. Taste is the same, bitter, resinous, pine, citrus, hops. Bitter dry aftertaste. Nice one.

aroma is a bit like an ipa that has stayed too long, sort of bitter to nutty bitter malts, then some hops where the juicy fruity bit has been cut off, leaving a more flowery bittersweet note.. i'm not very impressed, also i might be able to detect the alc. in the 7.7 ABV. In a way i'd except parts of this aroma to be found in a beligan triple, but then, they have the yeasty funkiness to balance, this one is just play ipa'ish in the yeast. Flavor is a bit better, with loads of hop bitterness, somewhat tasteless, like an english strong bitter, again i could use some more fruity flavors and some of the more interesting fruity notes in the grapefruit part. This one, however, reminds me of stone IPA's tasted more than 10 years ago, so perhaps stone is just stone, and i'm more into ipa's from dudes like pizza port, founders, alesmith etc.

Kettner, February 2024. Hazy soft orange, lingering off-white froth. Soft orange, Nilla cookie & very light pine nose. Iconic. Still amazing. Big citrus with a solid earthy & herbal bite, zero funions. Excellent.

0,355 l can. BB 23.03.2024. Cloudy golden, small but stable white head. Citrus hoppy aroma, pale grainy. Taste starts with an intensive hop bitterness, citrus with resin in the second row. Below average carbonation. Some increasing malt in the long lasting bitter aftertaste. Strong one.

Very clear golden pour with a large slowly dissipating head. Strong nose, pine, citrus fruity. Very strong mouth too. Lemon, orange, grapefruit. Stays solid across to aftertaste. Very long lingering bitterness. Almost too much: slight puckering dryness.
