On tap at the Haymarket. Appearance - amber with a nice head. Nose - roast and biscuits but you have to search for it a bit. Taste - caramel and more roasted cereal notes. Palate - medium bodied with a crunchy texture. The caramel sweetness is well balanced by the dry maltiness. Overall - slightly gnarly to approach. It doesn’t make itself easy to drink. You’re going to have to think about it if you’re going to drink it. Good ale. This is more about the balance than pleasant aromas or tastes.
