Hypnopompa is our imperial stout brewed with almost 100 kilos of marshmallows and Tahitian vanilla beans (the size of cigars).
Low carbonation and boiled a bit extra for good measure, this is a beer strictly for the stout inclined.
Drink now or age for many years.
Bourbon barrel aged edition comes with a gold cap.
Cognac (Grönstedts) barrel aged edition comes with a green sticker.

12 ounce bottle from Abv. Pours a jet black color with a medium beige head. A lovely big sweet nose. Smoke, jerky, sugars. The flavor is sweet, milky coffee, marshmallows, dark fruit, licorice, bourbon like vanilla. Huge beer. Awesome. Finishes dark metallic fruit.

batch 2 Pitch black pour, thick and oily, with a tan head that’s slow to rise to the surface. The perfect look for an imperial stout, as far as I am concerned.. Smells of cocoa, freshly roasted coffee, brewed coffee, dark cherries and sherry or, in any case, alcohol. Tastes like cocoa and dark chocolate, dried prunes, vanilla, dark cherries, cold coffee and alcohol. Some piney hops are also present. Smooth texture. The aftertaste is cocoa bitter, with notes of dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans lingering. Batch 2 is a clear winner. batch 1: 14.12.15 Pitch black pour, thick and oily, with an espresso coloured head that’s slow to rise to the surface. Smells of cocoa and dark cherries and sherry or, in any case, alcohol. Tastes like cocoa and dark chocolate, dried prunes, vanilla, dark cherries and alcohol. Smooth texture, a bit too thick though. The aftertaste is cocoa bitter, with some harsh alcohol that was a bit unpleasant for me. 4/5

(On nitro @ Omnipollos Hatt, Sept 17 2015) Pours black with a big lingering tan head and lace. Aroma is hot chocolate, torrified sugar, coffee, vanilla, sweet but with a light to moderate roast overtone. Palate is dark malt, molasses, vanilla, sugar pie. Moderate roast and a bit of coffee show up int he middle. Finish is dry, moderately bitter, roast, vanilla burnt sugar. Bitterness remains in the aftertaste. The body is medium full and oily with soft carb and a hint of alcohol. Definitely a lot of sugar at various levels of cooking/burning but I don’t know if I would get marshmallow per se from it without knowing. It is rich and fairly sweet with a balancing bitterness, not mind-blowing but a very solid stout.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out lots of vanilla beans and marshmallows. Flavour is big n bold, with roasted malt upfront, followed by vanilla beans and then marshmallows. Quite roasty as the main flavour, with the adjuncts not too dominating. Great stuff.

16 ounce can into snifter, 2019 vintage. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of raisin, fig, licorice, molasses, smoke, charcoal, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, vanilla, marshmallow, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of raisin, fig, licorice, molasses, smoke, charcoal, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, dark bread/crust, dark fruit, licorice, molasses, smoke, charcoal, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, vanilla, marshmallow, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with an awesome roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; with no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and very full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and lightly slick/sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 11%. Overall this is a fantastic flavored imperial stout. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, vanilla, marshmallow, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the ABV, with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; great soft/silky feel for the ABV. Fantastic balance of super rich malt complexity, marshmallow, and vanilla flavors; with balancing earthy hops and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering hop/char bitter dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example as expected of the brewery.

Bottle. Black oily pour, no head. Aroma of earthy coffee and vanilla. Taste starts with gritty coffee, but then a lot of earthy vanilla kicks in. Finish is more bitter and a bit tart. Nice impy, but the bourbon ba version is grainy out of this world.
