Hypnopompa is our imperial stout brewed with almost 100 kilos of marshmallows and Tahitian vanilla beans (the size of cigars).
Low carbonation and boiled a bit extra for good measure, this is a beer strictly for the stout inclined.
Drink now or age for many years.
Bourbon barrel aged edition comes with a gold cap.
Cognac (Grönstedts) barrel aged edition comes with a green sticker.

Bottle at Hair of the Dog, Bangkok. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly round tan head. The aroma is sweet roasty malt, vanilla, chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet with a big oily, dry spicy coffee, sweet marshmallow palate. Full bodied witn flat carbonation.

Bottle from Beers’n’more, BB 2024, so I’ll assume batch #2. Intense aroma of coffee and vanilla indeed. Not particularly sweet though, neither on the tongue or on the palate. Pretty dry for such a beer. Powerful, fat, full-bodied. Little bit of carbonation, but only when it’s not too cold. Just a tad boozy, but it fits. A good sipper.

Bottle from somewhere in Leeds. Rich velvety black colour with no real head. Aroma had vanilla dark sugars, coffee and roasted malt. Taste is coffee, light sweet, to mid sweet finish. Thick oily body.

Tap at Beer Hunters. Opaque black color, medium-sized brownish head. Aroma has sweetness, vanilla, chocolate and coffee. Medium-bodied to full-bodied. Lots of coffee and chocolate in the flavor. Some sweetness, vanilla and cocoa. Very chocolaty. Nice, doesnt show its ABV.

Draught @ HBF 2016. Pours pitch black with a thick brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, sweetish syrup, coffee and cocoa. Taste is sweet, sticky and syrupy with loads of coffee and cocoa. Finish is sweet, sticky and stuffy with some roastiness, coffee and cocoa. Quite sweet and sticky.

Flaska från SB. 2013 vintage. Kolsvart, ingen kolsyra. Riktigt söt och ganska utvecklad doft med massor av russin, portvin, madeira. Sött, aningen vinöst, packat med söt torkad frukt, främst russin. Väl sött men ändå ok balans. Lite kärvare, lätt bränd avslutning. Riktigt gott. Fint utvecklad smak.

No head. Aroma is slightly rich, dark malts, licorice, coffee, dark sugar, soy sauce, grass. Taste is sweet, dark sugar, coffee, dark malts, licorice, even more sugar, grass, and did I mention sugar? Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice enough.
