Bottle, 5.0%. Weak sweet malty aroma. Hint of sourish but nice malt. Clear dark chestnut colour. No head. OK malty flavour, dark malt, slightly sweet. But quite weak. Like a good beer with water. Rough carbonation.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour, almost mahogany. Firm, beige head, leaving traces of lacing. Malty, slightly sweetish, nose with dark bread, ryvita, chocolate, fudge and cola. Malty taste, slightly roasted, with dark rye bread, ryvita and hints of raisins. Balanced sweetness throughout, some bitterness and notes of hops towards the end (but they don’t really follow through all the way to the end). Smooth mouthfeel, well balanced. Not really exciting, but overall a very friendly beer. Better than expected (coming from a Carlsberg beer factory).

Bottled (BB 05/2006)
Amber, nut brown color, small brownish head. Grassy, sugary aroma. Not so sweet as 3.5% version. Medium-bodied, typical Vienna like caramelly, roasted flavor. Hints of grassy hops in the aftertaste. Very close to Finnish class III Christmas beers.

Bottled. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma of caramel and harsh hops. Flavour is not as sweet as the 3,5% version, more dominated by malts and even hops. Mainly the hops is balancing away the total sweetness. Could be a bit sweeter in my opinion, but wellbalanced still, though it becomes a bit dull and boring. Not too much aftertaste, mayber some caramel and a bit roast.

A clear red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is of the can that it came in, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and cowberries.

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark brown beer with a small head. Malty, lightly burned caramel character with a discreet sweetness and a balancing bitterness. A very harmonious Christmas beer. 170202
