Bottle. Deep reddish colour with an off white head. Aroma of roasted malt and some fruitiness. Roasted malty flavour with some caramel and light fruity notes.

Bottle, at Bishops Arms, Karlstad. A clear, rubyish brown beer with a one-finger beige head. Caramel, dried fruits and hints of spices in the aroma, not sensing the smoke at all. The flavor has a caramel sweetness in the back, with dried fruits and some bitterness. Full-bodied, smooth and nicely carbonated. There’s a little metallic flavor in the finish, but nothing disturbing. Else it’s sweetness, dried fruits and a fine bitterness. A nice Christmas beer indeed. 090802

Bottle 50cl.Clear medium red brown color with a average to large, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, spicy, fruity - apple notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20081121]

Mahogany with a large beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and nuts. Flavour was smoked, with roasted malt, caramel and hints of chocolate.

Big yellowish brown head. Deep dark red barely translucent body. Fruity malty aroma with vaguely citric hop notes. Dry, and slightly acidic, malty roasty taste with grainy papery notes. Mild aftertaste. Mid body. Dry roasty chocolatey malty taste with burnt citric notes. Nice, but wrong hops for this beer. (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

Bottle, 6.0%. Yeasty aroma, OK fat. Hint of spicy hops, slightly sweet. Clear dark brown colour, red shine. Roasted flavour, hint of sweetness, barley bitterness. Well balanced. Sweet and spicy. Nice.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden brown/amber with a light tan and little fluffy head. Light fruity hoppy and mild caramel malty note. Light spiced hoppy and mild roasted malty with a light spiced note. Rather hoppy and spiced finish.

this might have been the 2008 version , i just noted it down as wisby julbrygd. aroma : sweet,caramelly 5 clear brown small yellow/brown head 3 flavor : strange mix between bock, porter and christmasbrew. roasted to hard roasted stuff, pear or fruit, spices, slight sweetness. 6 pal 3 ov 13

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of butter and caramel, and so does the flavor, leading to a dry finish.
