From a 440ml can on 14/1/2024. The West Coast version of the superb East Side version I had lat night. Pours a clear dark golden with smallish head. Has a nose of light resin and pine, with hints of caramel. What a revelation on the sip - I've complained for years that Oz brewers continually fail to nail the malt profile that the best US West Coasts have, this has the caramel malt in spades, along with some toffee. Then you get the sweet orange, mango and passionfruit, and a touch of white grape. Finishes firmly bitter with pine, resin and grapefruit presenting in equal amounts. Full bodied with a slick mouthfeel and moderate to average carbonation. The Oz masters of hazies have just produced one of best Oz brewed WC IPAs I've ever had. Maybe shades the East Side, and that's really saying something.
