From a440ml can 28/12/2024. Pours a deepest brown with a medium tan head that disappears quickly. Has a strong choc fudge/mudcake nose. Tastes very sweet up front with masses of choc fudge and vanilla, but this is met by a strong, warming bitterness featuring strong and lingering licorice and some roasty notes. Has a slick plate and moderate carbonation. Bold, intense and definitely a dessert beer, but part of the intensity comes from the things that balance out the sweetness. A very good dessert sipper.
