60% Tripel, 40% Extra. Subtly hopped, fruity, and full-bodied flavor.

Duo is a golden-blonde Trappist beer from Westmalle, with an alcohol content of 7.2%. The beer combines the freshness of the Extra with the fruity body of the Tripel, resulting in a refined balance of hop and fruit aromas. The six different hop varieties lend the beer its distinctive freshness, while the fruity notes provide a soft finish.

The full-bodied, creamy taste and subtle hop bitterness give the beer a rich aftertaste, with a characterful finish that invites another sip.

Tap at Maproom Chicago. Interesting medium bodied. Superb Belgian effervescent body. Drinks like an amplified Single. More hop tone isnt really a bonus, but it is sort of restrained, on the edge of odd for the style. Bubblegum, mellow fruity hops. Better brewed, but walks into Belgian IPA territory. Not quite what I want in the style,.but I understand their hunger to play.

Slightly hazy orange with a medium sized foamy white head that left good lacing. Yeasty and malty with sugar and golden fruit. Long finish moderately full bodied

On tap. Pours a dull amber with moderate foamy head. Aromas of banana, floral esters, a bit of coriander and soft wheaty malts. Flavors follow same. Definely get the blend of the Triple and Extra. It’s a thinner version of the Triple IMHO. Lower alcohol and cost savings?

Fresh Draught @ Delaneys, Odense. Pours cloudy Golden Yellow with a creamy head. Esters , a touch of banana bread and green and herbal hops with a nice bitter finish. It was what I hoped for. Reminding me to drink Westy blond more often. 4.2. Super.

On tap at the Brugge Beer Festival 2025, Brugge, Belgium. A golden/yellow coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweetish, yeasty, bready, banana taste/aroma. A pleasant enough Belgian which doesn't compare to the excellent Triple.
