On tap at Taphouse CPH, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma reveals the maple upfront, with light chilis, some cocoa, and moderate roast. Flavour is on the sweeter side, with maple, cocoa, cinnamon, and a touch of chilis. Nice maple character that dominates without being too cloying. Very good.

On tap at Taphouse. Pours black with a beige head. Roasted malts and dry maple. Flavour has toasty malts, dry maple, a touch bread crusts. Fantastic.

4 oz. pour on tap as part of flight at We’re Pouring. Opaque black, persistent ring of head, trace lacing. Aroma is strong cinnamon, roasted malt, hint of maple. Taste is strong maple, cinnamon, base stout. Frothy texture, soft carbonation. Maple muted in aroma.

Small taster at Orange & Brew. Wow! Really strong maple and Bourbon nose. Black color, thin, persistent layer of tan foam. Maple is also big in the taste, but then there's the vanilla and cinnamon, with chocolate close behind. Chili only really comes in to round up the alcohol. I realize this isn't a barrel beer, but the total effect is still plenty of Bourbon. Can't help but liking and thinking highly of this bree.
