Built on the burly shoulders of the estate barley we grow behind our brewhouse, this Imperial Stout is a decadent representation of the classic style.
Fermented with our preferred British yeast strain and carefully conditioned and matured in tank. Double mashing concentrates the robust expression of malt character while a blend of custom-roasted, chocolate, and caramel malts provide inky black color and smooth waves of bakers cocoa. The roast flavors are balanced by a lush backbone of sweetness and gentle alcohol warmth.

On tap at the brewery, pours a dark black with a ring of fluffy white head. Nose is so old school and solid, malt and roast, chocolate, coffee, licorice. Flavors follow, it's a malt bomb and unabashedly so, grains, toast, licorice, molasses, chocolate, some raisin. Full bodied and basically dry. Crazy easy to drink. Well made.
