On tap, hazy dark orange, no head. Nose has acid and green grape off the top, then opened up with some weird barrel, butterscotch and vanilla, some white wine vinegar, a clear earthy sour fruit. Flavor rings more of green papaya or preserved lemon, green grapes, apple cider vinegar, there is definite port and/or whiskey at the back. Bright, medium-high acid finish. Unique to say the least. 7 2 7 3 13 Re:rate from a 2019 bottle, same batch, in May 2021. Pours a clear, dark orange with no head. Nose has a lot of port, that white port, persimmon, quince pase, some sour mojo orange. Flavors follow with the white port and the oranges. Sour barrel and persimmon and vinegar too. Oily and tart finish. Much better than the first rate. 8-3-8-4-14
