Tap at Bluejacket, DC. Color is slightly cloudy red with very small white head. Aromas and flavours: Red berries, blue berries, some strawberries, dryness and sourness. OK.

Sampled at the brewery, pours a garnet amber, no head. Nose is nice, fresh cut flowers and pinched blueberries, some cheesy funk, lemon rind. Flavor starts with the barrel, wet wood and some just souring white wine, I find a very clear ruby grapefruit happening, juice and rind. It has the bright acidity of beers from Brussels, including a band aid component. There is a hint at the back that it's not quite a foreign product; the grain bill betrays it. Finishes oily, tart, funky. Very, very well done from Bluejacket. 8 3 9 4 16
