On Tap at Brewforia Beer Market, Meridian, ID Deep chestnut brown witha thin but persistent light tan head. Nice retention, actually. Heavy long lasting sticky lacing. Very attractive in the glass. Sweet light roasted aroma, with a little chocolate and a little fruity cidery hint as well. Flavor is pretty busy. Roasted carmely flavors, a little sweet, and plenty of spice. Late charcoal notes and a noticeable ABV hit. DK what the % is but it tastes a bit high. Moderate carbonation and a thick unfiltered feel. There is something else, almost a Belgian yeast flavor as well. Particularly early but not in the aftertaste. Tasty and takes a couple strange turns from a typical porter.
