reDANKulous Imperial Red IPA is a no frills, bold 9.5% ABV India Pale Ale. It pours a pleasing burnt amber with some sweetness due to the Caramalt and roasted barley used in the malt bill. But hops are the true headliner in this elaborate sensory experience. The spicy, piney, tropical complexities of Chinook, Mosaic and Simcoe hops hit you right away with their dank aroma—and they stick around. Take a sip to have your palate simultaneously walloped and caressed in all the right places. Combined, the hops take the beer to 90 IBUs. It’s not just ridiculous. It’s reDANKulous.

Draft. A deep red beer with a huge tan head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, hops, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, citrus fruits, hops, and spices, leading to a bitter finish.

Rich copper coloured body with a muddied glow and a nice, three centimetre tall pure tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, caramel, alcohol, earth and a bit of grain, specifically rye. Full-bodied; Strong rich grain flavour with some bread, rye, alcohol, caramel, toffee and earthy flavour right behind - rather pungent. Aftertaste shows a lot of hops of course, but some subdued bitterness is kind of overshadowed by the large alcohol, grain and rye flavours that are brought out at the end. Overall, a nice beer of course - big, brash and still showing a ton of alcohol. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from the Seaway party store in Grand Haven, Michigan on 09-September-2015 for US$9,56 brought here there any everywhere, finally sampled on 08-August-2016 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in my hotel room before leaving for Hawaii!

355ml Bottle - Copper red with a small head. Pine, toffee, grapefruit and raisins in the aroma. Raisins, pine, grapefruit, blackcurrant and cherries all feature in the rich, fruity and hoppy taste.

Flarra som testas ihop med Hoptimum. Kraftigt rostfärgad dryck. Kraftig doft av blött gräs lite Rye toner och svagt apelsin. Smakar då? Fyllig i munnen med tydlig smak av svartavinbärsjos. Smygande kommer en rejäl beska och smaker av trä och brödighet. Fin kraftig Dipa som är lagom kolsyrad. Och står den sig mot Hoptimumen?? . NÄÄHÄÄÄ

Bottle. Pours a beautiful deep reddish brown with lovely highlights and a thick off-white head. Aromas of pine, pears, a little mango. Flavors are punchy... toffee and huge spruce resin. Sticky mouthfeel and full and robust on the palate. Wow.

On tap at Angel's Trumpet Ale House, pours a clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out dank hop resins upfront, with caramel malt on the other side in great balance. Flavour is wonderfully balanced, with a great robustness of caramel malt and resinous hops vying to outbid each other. The hop resins win out, leaving a dry and nicely bitter finish. Excellent.

Bottle shared. Dark ruby pour with a beige head. Smells like oranges, orange zest, caramelized malts, subtle toffee, passion fruit, papaya, mango. Medium body, low carbonation and a bitter-sweet aftertaste.
