After 18months of aging in oak barrels, we transferred our La Saison de Brett brown ale to a fresh red wine barrel from District Winery, added sour cherries and cranberries, and blended in a small portion of our sour beer. The result is a tart, cherry forward beer with notes of oak and cranberry, supported by a strong malt backbone and the fruity flavors of Brettanomyces.

Samples at the 2024 Battle of the Barrel aged Beers. Duchesse rip, meaning no offense. Nice and tart. Crisp red wine lees. Cranberry is so present. Some acidulated malt. Tart and grippy. Barrel reps well too. 7 3 7 4 13
