Darker than the deepest graves, Tomb Essence is not a beer to be taken lightly. A rich brown head wafts up inviting aromas of chocolate and cinnamon. Heavy overtones of spiced chocolate and dark roast coffee pervade this jet black elixir. Brewed with molasses, rye, and malice. A note of caution to the drinker: a full body belies the true heat of this beer. Aged in Rum barrels!

7oz pour at the Half Street location pours a dark cola brown, some sudsy grey head. Nose has booze, prunes, raisins, some malt. Flavor is a bit sour, stale coffee, port, some raspberry liqueur. Full bodied, sticky finish. Boozy. 6 3 6 3 11
