Aged 12 months in Smooth Ambler whiskey barrels, this beer is not for the faint of heart. Aromas of sweet caramel and burnt sugar preface dangerously smooth whiskey, coconut and a slightly earthy hop flavor. Brace yourselves.

From a bomber with about 10 years of age. Pours a clear mahogany with a quickly receding off white head. Aromas of raisins and burnt sugar with a hint of oxidation. Flavors are sweet toffee.

22oz bottle from The Brew Shop, pours a hazy, dark orange/amber with some creamy, circling white head. Nose at first has a ton of raw wood shavings, like a cedar closet almost, warms and opens up to heavy toffee and caramel, heavy orange peel and potpourri, heavy booze, wood shavings, heavy oak. Everything is heavy. Flavor has malt, toffee, orange peel, vanilla, caramel, wood shavings, dust, a little cream soda. Finishes very full bodied, boozy and a bit astringent. Maybe this can age out into something pleasant, but the freshest form is just very harsh and heavy handed.
