Cask at the Tram Depot, Cambridge. Reddish amber with a dense cream head; slightly sour fruit aroma with green hops and malt; sweet and fruity flavours to start with orange and caramel, then rather tannic - like good red wine rather than tea - followed by lots of chewy malts; then a gently bitter finish. Pleasant, but nothing like an IPA. (6/4/7/3/14=3.4)
Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. A rather different animal, more spicy than fruity, with lots of coriander and some Christmas spices. Nevertheless, I came up with a very similar rating - (7/4/7/4/14=3.6)

Cask, 5.3%. Good fruity, nicely rough aroma. Cloudy copper colour. Frothy white head, quite stable for a cask ale. Very flavourful, with a good fruitiness and nicely rough notes. A little sweet from the hops. Very good.
