Alright, pack a lunch and buckle up for this one, because it’s a doozy and commands further inspection, or so we hope. A collaboration with our friends from @schillingbeerco brewed back when it was slightly colder out, this beer not only leans, it damn near topples over the expectation of what these beers are or can be. This one is aggressively smoked - consider this your warning shot across the bow. Built from a grist of far more than half of it with beechwood smoked malt, this double decocted bock remains lighter in color due to a healthy addition of Vienna. We find impressions of smoldering campfire, crusty multigrain bread, dark stone fruit, with a full and layered sweeter smoke derived finish.

12oz can pours a almost clear gold with some clingy white head. Nose has oak, sausage, corn, some smoked whitefish. Flavor is very woody and very very sausagey. Corn and grain. Finishes fairly full bodied for 6%. Interesting. It's hefty. 6 3 6 4 13
