Corked bottle, thanks to Maakun! Dark brown color. Vinous aroma, red fruit, hints of caramel and licorice in the aroma and flavor. A moderate, matured sourness. Some oak in the finish. Low on carbon. Full bodied, complex beer.

Sampled from growler at Rootz festival. Murky dark brown with small beige head. Sherry, red wine, sour grains, toffee, some herbs, old wood, oxidized notes and light alcohol. Medium sour and almost medium bitter with light sweetness. Over medium bodied with soft sparkly carbonation.

8 3 8 3 16 Draft at Rootz Winterbier festival '17. Dark brown with a small ring beige head. Aroma of tart red berries, chocolate, toffee and light brett funk. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

From growler at Rootz, winterbierfestival. Black with no head. Sour grapes, dried fruits, chocolate, balsamic, roasted grains, hay, hints of peat without the smokey character. Moderate sweet and slightly more sour. Over medium body and soft carbonation.
