During these hot Vermont Summer days we find that nothing quenches the thirst better than a cold beer. If we can somehow make that beer even more refreshing we always try to do just that, so we present Spa Water. We took our base German-style Berliner-Weisse recipe and fermented it out to be dry, tart and refreshing. Then in secondary conditioning we added 30 lbs or about 10 lbs/BBL of English cucumbers as well as a touch our locally grown mint. The beer leads with cucumber, watermelon and vegetable notes on the nose with a refreshing, puckering and tart flavor on the palate. It goes down easy and makes you want to drink more than one.
