Test vom 26.9.2008, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 11,12,12,13,-,13 - 12,47

Draft. An unclear dark amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of spices - especially cloves, as well as medium notes of malt, citrus, and banana. The flavor is sweet malty with a slight acidic edge and notes of citrus, bread, cloves, and banana, leading to a dry wheaty finish. The oatsmeal gives it a good body. A funny mixture of German and Belgian brewing tradition, but a very interesting combo.

On tap at Nørrebro’s 5 year anniversary. A clear, amber beer with a small off-white head. Sweetish on the nose with dried fruits, some green apples and something reminiscent of wheat. Sweet in the mouth, with dried fruits, caramel, fresh fruits and some bitterness. Sticky, full-bodied mouthfeel. Lasting finish with some banana, green apples, spices and bitterness. A quite pleasant beer challenging the limits of bockbeers. (080911)

(On tap) Clear warm dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt and some phenols or diacetyls. Quite full-bodied with a fairly solid malt base and a whiff of pumpernickel. Again an underlying salinity. Dry and lightly bitter finish. 110908

Shining mahogany body topped by a thin, circular edge. Alcoholic smell with notes of dark fruits. Taste of ripe banana supported by cloves and a fair amount of dark fruits. Alcohol beneath. Bitterness on a rather low level. Soft carbonation and clean tasting (served lightly chilled late in the morning at Nørrebro Bryghus, Copenhagen 20.09.2008).

Cloudy amber beer with a lasting off-white head. Aroma has banana, spice and breadcrust. Sweet malty flavour with bread, banana, some alcohol, and a hint of hops in the finish, but enough to stop it from being cloying sweet.

On tap @ the brewpub. Reddish golden with a big, creamy off-white head. Bittersweet aroma with some tones of oranges. Flavor is fruity, malt, hint of caramel, bitter, sweet and some yeast. Quite pleasent, a bit strange and not totally in balance.
