A pale amber ale from our oldest local brewery using Cascade hops and Munich malts this is a beer that enjoys wonderful balance between hop bitterness and malt presence and is named after the graffiti image of a headless Labrador on the old brew-house wall.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of KimJohansen. Hazy golden with a tall and lively off-white head. Light citrus in the nose. Light body with a little sweet maltiness and citrus notes. Basically no bitterness. 100908

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small yet creamy white head. Mild lemonish hoppy aroma. Light bitter and refreshing lemonish hops accent. Dry and bitter to citric finish, dry and light.

Bottle, 4.2%. Rough citric aroma, some butter. Cloudy yellow colour. Rough, oxidized flavour. Some malt, but mostly cardboard.

Cask @ the brewery. Cloudy golden with tiny white short lasting head. Sweet fruity aroma with floral hops. Sweet fruity flavor with grassy and floral notes. Finishes bitter.

(Cask at Bridge House, Belfast, on 2008-06-29) Pale golden. Clear. Medium-sized white dense head. Some fruity hops in nose. Full and dry palate with little carbonation. Hops, yeast, malts and porridge in taste. Weak.

Small offwhite creamy head. Hazy yellow body. Fruity peppery resiny aroma. Dry-sweet watery mealy hoppy pea taste with resiny notes. A bit watery. Dry aftertaste. Good, but too watery. (0.24l cask at Molly’s Yard, Belfast.)

Cask@Rugby Beer Festival, 2007. Syrupy looking golden beer with a grassy and fruity dry aroma, and a green grass and lightly dry flavour. Overall an average watery pale beer.
