El Jefe means The Boss in Spanish, and that's exactly what this cider is! Manzana Mexicana is a smoked agave, prickly pear, lemon, and smoked mesquite chips cider. To make El Jefe, we then aged it in a tequila barrel for 5 months. The first flavor is mesquite smokiness, followed by fruity prickly pear, finishing with a smooth agave sweetness. Almost like a mezcal cocktail straight out of the hills of Oaxaca, Mexico.
