Lotus is an incredibly new hop varietal that takes the triangle stage solo. Lotus, from our friends at Hopsteiner, is quite the varietal and has delivered some of the most unique hop derived expressions we’ve yet to experience. We taste pineapple, sweet orange, coconut almost vanilla cream, with a dank herbaceous eucalyptus star anise like under current. This one drinks with complexity not often derived from the use of a single hop cultivar, but so be it.

16oz can pours a pulpy, neon orange with some lacey white head. Nose is just ok, very raw, raw oats, white tangerines, raw pineapple. Flavor has soap, and all that raw stuff. Finishes pithy.

Dry hopped, tad creamy, has that earthy texture. Good beer. Cousin Kev in the Nats hat.
