22oz bomber picked up in Seattle in early October, not opened until late March. Definitely hasn’t improved with age, not much of a hiss upon opening, and no real head to speak of. Very hoppy aroma, which shows signs of aging as well. Opaque orange-brown color. Thick earthy hop taste, with a solid thick toasty malt body to back it up. Sweet toffee and hops. Not astringent or overly bitter, sort of a double APA. The strength really gives it borderline Barleywine qualities.

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Heavy malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate swet and heavy bitter flavor. Creamy palate. Too stickey sweet.

Botled at Akkurat, Stockholm. hazy pale amber, minimal head. Rich sweaty grapefruit aroma. Sweet and almost viscous with dense muthfeel and full body. Syrup and hops in a potent mix with alcohol on top. Extremely bitter finish. More power than elegance or balance.

It pours a beautiful amber color with copper lights. Good aroma, though not huge: caramel, malt, toffee, some creamy hops. The body is strong; sweet toffee flavor, strong bitterness, with some bitter oranges and resins.
Powerful and still very enjoyable, even if not fresh anymore.

Hazy light amber color. Very nice aroma, hoppy and malty, with a lot of pleasant resins, and sweetness; hop flowers too. Bold Ale, powerful mouthfeel, it has a chewy toffee flavor, well sweet but not syrupy; very high bitterness, with a good mix of resins and some bitter oranges and bitter almonds (till the end). Extreme but balanced. I like the way, mostly in the beginning, in which the malt cheats you and the beer tastes almost like a Barley Wine, with oxidized malts, even reminding me a Thomas Hardy; then the hop brings you back to reality. Excellent

Peach amber color. Thick white head. Aroma of sugary hops... if that is possible. Slightly sweet, but much less sweet than other DIPAs I have had. Citrusy bite to it. Heavy malt undertones beneath the heavy hopping, although the hopping is not excessive. Very smooth for a DIPA. Not all that bitter. Medium body. Pretty good beer I would say.

Bottled@Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Hazy amber colour, not much head. Aroma is hops, some mild fruits and earth. Mild alcoholic sweetness. Flavour is hops, sweet fruits and some mild notes of grass. A pleasantly balanced beer, which was a quite spot on DIPA.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 22 Jan 2009) Hazy amber colour with brief, beige head. Hoppy, fruity nose with notes of pine needles, tropical fruit and hints of alcohol. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, pine needles, resin, pineapple, mango and a seriously bittersweet finish with a warming puff of alcohol. Very bitter, fairly sweet. Slightly above medium body. Fairly uncompromising but very tasty. Lovely beer! In short: pineapple, resin and alcohol.

Cloudy amber with a medium off white head. Aroma was hoppy with piney and malty notes. Flavour was sweet with plenty of hops, malt and caramel notes. Loads of hops. Finished seriously bitter. I love it.!
