Bottle that came via Beermerchants/Cave Direct cheers Phil L. Pours orangey in colour with a white head, my notes say that this is a barley wine, I cannot believe that this is a Double IPA. Big sweet malt flavours, bit thick in the mouth. There are plenty of hops but they are really wading under the sweet syrupy gloopiness of this, that said I rather like this beer, the alcohol is warming but not harsh and there is plenty of fruitiness going on. Good beer. A7 A4 A7 P4 OV14 3.6

Bottle, shared by papsoe. It pours an unclear, golden-orange body with a beige head. Piney, resiny, very citrusy nose with tropical fruits, sugars and beefstock. Sticky-sweet in the mouth, full-bodied, warming and almost astringent from the hops. Pine, resin, citrus, tropical fruits and a nice bitterness. The finish is of the lasting kind, with piney and resiny hops, some citrus and lots of bitterness. Actually so much hops it gets a bit challenging to drink, even for a hop-lover. The alcohol gives too much warmth I think, but the beer is really nice. (080823)

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of bu11zeye. Hazy amber golden with a creamy, yellowish head. Distinct aroma hops in the nose - very peachy. Quite full-bodied with plenty of sweet caramel and malt with a perfumy fruitiness. Showing a lot of muscle in the finish with a superb hop bite and massive alcohol. 230808

Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a deep slightly hazy orangey color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of strong bitter hops with some distinctive grassy notes. Taste is also dominated by some strong grassy and bitter hops with some notes of citrus thought but as much as expected. There is definitely a malt base but it is hard to say what it taste like with the amount of hops in here. I know that it was the goal to produce a gigantic hoppy beer but still too bitter and one-dimensional for my taste buds.

75cl bottle. Thanks to Papsoe/Ungstrup. Pours cloudy golden with a creamy white head & lacings. Nose is tropical fruity hops. Hops all over. Warm, sticky, powerful & a bit burning. Looong bitter end. Perhaps unbalanced & mega heavy - but I damm sure like it!

Bottle: Orange copper pour with a small white head. Sticky bits of lacing. Aroma is up front with citrus and sweetness. Fruity and some hints of caramel. Flavor retains a more crisp citrus, grapefruit, and florals. The is lots of hoppiness here with a nice balanced sweetness. Enjoyable. thanks Jordan.

Slightly hazy orange amber. Small sandy colored head. Nice caramel and citrus hops aroma. Full and smooth palate with moderate carbonation. Big hoppy flavor. More west coast and citrus and worthy of ’double’ status. ABV fit well w/ the other flavors. Nice.

From tap at the brewery. Fruity hops aroma, mild and light. Flavour is a lot more dense with a solid yet smooth hoppy base flavour with a mild caramel malt base showing through. Dry and spiced hops finish. A bit too brutal but still very good.
