The next offering in our Cellar Series, an exceedingly drinkable and low ABV English Best Bitter. Also the first of a string of English style ales that will be releasing in the following weeks. Maris Otter pale ale malt makes the base, along with a touch of Crystal 60L and Crystal 40L, and then hopped generously with Fuggles and East Kent Goldings in the boil, and fermented with a traditional English Ale yeast from the pals at Jasper Yeast. Very floral on the nose, with notes of wood and earthy undertones, Ceylon tea, and a malt driven biscuity sweetness. Crisp and easy drinking, with just enough body to fill it out and balance the balanced hop bitterness. Perfect for watching a Premier League match!

Pint at the brewery pours a clear dark orange with some lacey white. Nose has soggy bread and black tea, butterscotch. Flavor is alright, true to style, butterscotch and biscuit, honey in black tea, some metal. Finishes off dry, lightly bitter. 7 4 7 3 13
