A style born out of necessity, potatoes were historically added to the mash as a cheap but impactful source of fermentable sugars. 15% of the mash consisted of potatoes, with Pilsen and Munich malt making up the rest of the grist, creating a dry, biscuity malt backbone. Hopped with Tettnang, Huell Melon, Hersbrucker, and Mandarina Bavaria, a clean refined bitterness layers on top of notes of orange zest, green tea, and spicy, herbal florality. Pairs well with stuffing, gravy, and turkey.

6oz sample, clear gold, sticky white head. Nose has grist, some grain, some dough, lemon, a touch cheap. Flavor is starchy, reads more rice as the adjunct, straw, lemon. Finishes starchy. Just OK. 6 4 6 3 11
