Barrel-aged Ryewine with Berries

After 18 months in rye whiskey barrels and an addition of unfermented berries, this special dry blend of Ryewine emerges with a wondrous array of oak-derived flavors and balance. Cherry, vanilla, and spice from the barrel meet restrained maple, caramel, and aged malt complexities. Blackberry, raspberry, boysenberry, and cranberry shine through the end result with perfect balance. Enjoy now or store cold!

07-10-2020, same feedback as when I had it way earlier this year, January I think, delicious and definitely fruit heavy, almost wine like but the rye wine flavors are also very apparent, just fruit heavy blurring lines as always.

12oz can pours a pulpy purple, ring of Grey head.  Big port, big grape jam, cherry cordial, kirsch.  Flavors follow with more rye, spice, chewy grain, more booze.  Full bodied, boozy, jammy.  8 4 8 3 15

Fruited ryewine is dangerously blurring the lines of beer and wine but no doubt the barrel and rye upfront and the body make this an amazing exposition of fruit with sweet and spicy rye and thick oak. The finish is where you tend to get lost in dreams.

Can shared by Adam, thanks! Pours a dark brown with a light ruby hue and a tan head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has rye whiskey and sweet grains with a decent amount of slightly tart berries and a hint of maple underlying. Flavor has a great combination of tart berries and rye with growing rye whiskey and a bit of sweet grains and light maple backing.
