500ml can. Bright pale body with a short lasting dense white head. Not so much aroma, you may sense some malt. Flavor is surprisingly malty according to the βICEβ concept, there is even also a clear hop influence. A very fresh and well balanced lager, with more taste than many other standard Norwegian lagers. Also a bit thin of course.

Big white coarse-laced fast-shrinking head over light copper body with occasional carbonation. Clean, sweetish apple-like aroma with very faint notes of malt. Round, clean taste of very little with appleish notes; aftertaste is bitter. Well. Itβs a successful ice beer, in that there is hardly any taste, and no off taste.

Bottled. Clear, golden with a white head. Malty aroma with a light hoppy-fruity hint. Flavor is clean, light malty and with a little sweetness. Light bitterness in the finish. Quite thin body, but the beer goes well in warm summer-days. Unfortunately the beer is now only sold in cans, expect for to the restaurant-market. (060215)

Modern design bottle 30cl from a minibar at a Thon Hotel in Oslo. Hardly any taste at all. Why canβt they put at least one decent beer in the minibar? Iβm glad the brewpub in Oslo (Mikrobryggeriet) with a new Winter Ale was only a minute walk from the hotel.

(Bottle 33 cl) The Norwegians seem to like their Ice" or "Summmer" beers and most of them are actually surprisingly nice. This "Lysholmer" has a very nice hoppy nose, a full golden colour but just about no head. Surprisingly full-bodied with some sweetness. Good. 260204

Blond to golden color. Decent malt aroma. Reasonable body strength and correct hopping. Just suitable for the thirst, but surprising as an Ice Beer.

Very light bodied and pale. Crisp and balanced. Better than you would think, considering the name.
