Dulle Teve is brewed with a white candy in the kettle and has 10 percent alcohol per volume. It is for sale almost all year round in the brewery.

Dulle Teve is a swear name used in the region for a nasty woman. This was first used by a pub owner who wanted his own beer and was tasting two different possibilities in the Oerbar. His wife became increasingly impatient and phoned him. At that moment the pub owner remarked: "Do you know what you are? A dulle teve!" The brewer immediately saw possibilities: "Now we have to make a beer, we already have the name," he said.

Keg @ Northern Monk Refrectory, Leeds. Dangerously good given it neither tastes nor smells anything like its strength. Has a mild hoppy fruitiness.

Bottle, bottled July 2014. Appearance- golden with a slight amber tinge, an enormous pillowy white head which gradually settles. Turns murky brown when you pour it all out. Lots of bubbles rising. Aroma- Belgian yeast, bready malt, stewed apple, dark fruit, spices, orange peel, baked fruits, caramel biscuit undertones. Taste- lots of fruit here- apple pie, stewed fruit, brown sugar, caramel, rhubarb, spices, orange peel, solid malt presence, pretty boozy, fruitcake. Nice and full-bodied, doesn’t hide its strength. Impressive.

Yet another Belgian beer that had slipped past my radar: finally caught up with it in De Bierboom, Brugge on Sunday 7th Feb 2016. Dark amber body, slight haze: beige head that wanted to hang around. Nice blend of aromas and flavours, semi-sweet malty molasses with a bittering hop presence linked by a yeasty bonding that brings out fruit esters from the hops and draws out mild caramel hints from the malts. Far to easy to drink, I almost had another bottle but it was only 12:00 (noon) and I was on a tasting mission.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Golden orange with HUGE, frothy, white head. Fresh aroma of strawberry bubblegum, apple, citrus and green grapes. Fruity, bready and quite sugary taste with light hop freshness. Clean, crisp and really enjoyable. Light, peppery finish.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of kajser27, shared with him, Marko and franski. Dark golden coloured, huge white head, spices and alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, spicy, fruity, evident alcohol presence and dry finish. Also mild spices and fruits in the finish. Pleasant one but nothing more than that.
