A homage to great UK beer, this brown/amber colored extra special bitter features a malt forward taste with great mouth feel.

On tap at the brewery, pours a murky burnt orange with some frothy, white head. Nose is OK, some grist, some light nut, some yeast, a little paper. Flavor followed, some grain and bread, a little yeast, straw, a little dried citrus peel. Dry finish. Not a bad beer, but definitely not an ESB.

4 oz pour on draft at New District. Hazy dark brownish orange with beige head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, biscuit. Tastes of tropical, citrus, caramel. Light body and dry. Didn’t really taste like an ESB to me.
